    The location was magnificent, right next to the beautiful lake Strbske pleso and the interior design was modern. The pool was nice and I had soft drinks in the lounge bar. The place had a warm atmosphere.

    we had 4 wonderful days here, strongly recommend the place. overall well-appointed and 1st class hotel, we came here with our child. the location was incredible and excellent, next to the tatra mountains in slovakia and the beautiful lake. everything was really perfect, including generous and extensive breakfasts with smoothies, sparkling wine plus mimosas.

    Location, SPA and facilities.

    The breakfast is not worthy of a 5 star hotel. Unfortunately, missing things were not replenished. Rich breakfast looks different. Even 4 star hotels are way ahead.

    Kempinski High Tatras is a Luxury hotel with a perfect balance between high standards, excellent service and reasonable prices. We have really appreciated the discretion, availability and efficiency of all employees.

    Gardening with noisy material under our windows at relatively early hours could be avoided.

    Beautiful historical, well maintained hotel with small deficits to international standards. Beautiful surroundings, railway connection for travellers by train or plane. Airfield Poprad in the vicinity for travelers with their own plane very practical.

    The courtesy questions at check-in are annoying "Did you have a good journey? Can we park your car? Can we help with the luggage? We need to scan your credit card now" Annoying!

    Very luxurious - love the log fires and the furniture! Bedroom lovely. Spa is wonderful. Reasonable gym. Great, well chosen library - I like the concept of paying for books that you wish to take out but can read whatever you want while you stay - makes sense to me.

    1. I dont think that concerts should be organised in the reception lobby and hotel guests who are already paying a lot of money need to pay extra to attend. You could argue that the bar was too noisy to be used practically. People dont like paying "extra" - just include it as a benefit and generate the goodwill and repeat bookings that would go with that. 2. The power of the shower was too much for the drainage system in my room - should be solved. 3. I dont think that hotels should "play" with the tissue paper. Companies like Kleenex etc have perfected a very hygeinic system whereby if you take one tissue out, the next one comes out automatically. Having grubby hands carry out "origami" on the tissues to create some sort of flower creates 2 issues - (i) There is tendency that a chunk of tissues come out together - waste of paper or are deliberately thrown out (waste of paper) (ii) The tissues are no longer hygeinic 4. Would be good to have more English / foreign newspapers around.

    fantastic stay , but minor room issues

    The hotel offers a magical atmosphere that feels like a fairytale. The attention to detail for families, especially the thoughtful amenities provided for our child, created a wonderful stay.

    We encountered a few minor issues with the room that required attention.

    Amazing location in the heart of Tatra Mountains. Lake-view rooms are best option but valley-view ones are not bad too. Rooms are clean. Junior suite has goods size Bathroom is just perfect. Hotel is 2-3 years old but looks like brand new. It's extremely clean. Decor corresponds with building style, it's history and natural environment. Staff and services are on highest level. I traveled the world and visited many 5* places but Kempinski climbs to it's own level. Discreet and quick service support by highest quality. SPA is amazing. There is nothing better than relax by the pool, laying on king-size sofas after all day mountaineering watching clouds passing by Tatra Mountians. One of my best stays ever.

    Village is a bit small, a such, there are not too many alternatives to eat. Even though quality of food is perfect, the prices of catering in Kempinski are high and portions are small. I had my own bikes but what I would like to see is a good quality bikes and ski equipment rental place in the area. Just to make a comment, as others did too: Mr Hotel Manager, parking your BMW X5 all day long directly in front of hotel entrance, disabling guests to load / unload their cars is not best customer service practice, isn’t it.

    The hotel is superb and the level of facilities and serviecs is exceptional. The surrounding of the hotel is amazing and there are lot of activities in a short walking distance from the hotel.

    There is no solution in the hotel for a familly restaurant with a moderate prices and fast service.
